To start this series off on an appropriate note. I’ll start at the beginning of the year. The first anime of the year that I was super hyped for, I’m sure a lot of anime fans felt the same. This anime quickly climbed to the top of the MAL charts by the episode. I’m sure you can all guess what anime this is, and you all know how it ended.
ERASED!!!
My favorite moment about this anime was the ending. I know a lot of people completely went crazy about the show’s ending but I really didn’t mind it. I wont get into spoilers but I will be talking about the show as a whole. I have fulfilled my obligation to warn you! Beware hahahaha! OK….
I’m not sure if I’m just up for whatever kind of twists could happen but I was not surprised about the ending. Especially the cuck scene, I saw that and was bummed but for me, that’s completely realistic. He was in a coma for years! Years! I’m sorry but no one should wait that long and they were kids when the MC was protecting her. I honestly felt like one of the few people in the entire anime community that didn’t go insane at the end of series. I think the way they ended it could have been a little more thought out but I didn’t think it was a bad ending by any means. Besides, I liked the other female character anyway…
It brought a weird sort of realism to a show that was about traveling back in time to when you were young. I really enjoyed it. The suspense of the show was nice, even though I totally called the suspect!!! I was Right! That never happens in mystery anime for me. I’m always too dense to figure out who is the culprit. Anyway, that was my first favorite moment looking back on 2016. Thank you so much for reading, let me know what you thought of the anime. Did you like the ending? Was it too lackluster? I completely agree with you. This Anime (besides Another) has been the one that I have liked the most this entire year. I loved every single moment of it, including the ending. In my review I called this one a masterpiece, and I still think of it like that. It has an amazing storyline, great characters, and some really scary but also touching moments. Nice to get a chance to look back on this one. Great post!

one of my fav shows this year! even though it was predictable there was just this suspense around it that really got to me, which i do think it lacked at the end. i also don’t think the show was trying to hide who the killer was, esp considering how quickly people caught on. also #BESTGIRL indeed! if she hadn’t shown up at the end i was seriously going to flip Lol!

Yeah thatvwouldnt surprise me if they weren’t trying hide the killer. Maybe that’s why I actually was able to figure it out! I felt the same way, her showing up at the end makes the ending way better.

My issue with the ending was aalways one of pacing . They draw out that final confrontation so much longer than it needed to be. I also like d that he ended up with the girl from the start (or might end up with her). Thanks for sharing.

But I do agree that that is why the show did so bad in everyone’s eyes, the pacing went from really fast to really slow all in the span of an episode. It was jarring for sure.
